For more than 30 years, the Worthington Hills Fourth of July parade has been a neighborhood tradition centered on family, community, and coming together. Everyone knows the roads close for the parade, and for decades people have walked across the golf course to reach their usual viewing spots. It wasnβt a problemβit was part of the tradition. This year, the country club decided protecting the fairways was apparently more important than supporting the very community that has supported it for generations. Instead of working with the neighborhood, they blocked off the golf course and forced families to take much longer routes in sweltering heat. With a heat index approaching 100 degrees, that decision especially impacts older adults, people with mobility challenges, parents pushing strollers, and anyone who simply canβt make a long detour in extreme heat. Itβs hard to imagine a less community-minded approach to a neighborhood celebration. The irony is hard to miss. This club has benefited from the Worthington Hills community for decades. Today, instead of embracing one of the neighborhoodβs most cherished traditions, it seems more interested in putting up barriersβliterally. Nothi

Really looking forward to when you enter financial hardship again and you send a million fliers about joining, again. Fifty years of neighborhood tradition deserved better than caution tape across a place that has always been part of our Fourth of July celebration. Unfortunately, this decision sent a clear message that the surrounding community wasnβt welcome. Community goodwill takes years to build and only one poor decision to damage. Keeping families away from a tradition theyβve enjoyed for decades was disappointing. Your leadership chose barriers over neighbors, and thatβs something many of us wonβt soon forget. One holiday, one decision, and a lot of unnecessary resentment could have been avoided with a little communication and common sense. Until this attitude changes, itβs hard to see this club as anything other than an unfriendly neighbor.

Top-notch, private club in the heart of Columbus. The overall facility is well maintained and laid out for a true, exclusive experience. They have a great outdoor sitting area for dining and drinks, a gym, the clubhouse is fairly extensive with a great staff and the course itself if very well maintained.
